Tailored to the individual The project comprises the complete transformation and redesign of an attic to satisfy the clients' wish to live in a space that evinces the openness and freedom of movement associated with contemporary life. The interior is conceived as a kind of miniature urban setting, with various 'sites' available for development. The bathing area is placed in between the sleeping area and the dressing area.
The old and the new, the tailored to the individual and the standardized elements are carefully combined. The cupboard in yellow polyester contains all the equipment necessary for pleasant bathing: towels, shampoo, magazines, drinks.
Nowhere is the space reduced to pure functionality enclosed by white and cold walls. On the contrary, in this project domestic activity is celebrated as an event.
